A view of the approach a I experienced it.
Unfortunately it wasn't installed and working when I arrived
Appeared not to be very effective as we went through there like a hot knife through butter.
The road in the foreground is actually the access road just inside the security fence.
The person on the right is standing next to the remains of the security fence.
An aerial view of the distance travelled. The aircraft can barely be seen on the left.
Standing where the security fence used to be. The rock in the foreground I believe was responsible for the collapse of the left main landing gear. The person in the background with the white shirt is standing next to the ejection seat. That is where I was found still strapped to the seat.
A sorry site for such a graceful machine. Just out of interest one can see how effective the camoflauge on the aircraft is.
I understand these pictures were taken about an hour after the accident. The time was about 1630B
A view looking back from where I had landed. As you can see the peeople standing in the foreground (bottom right corner) are next to the ejection seat.
The burnt section on the left intake was caused by the fence which ruptured the fuel tank. Just under that section is the ammo bin and in the aircraft was 150 rounds high explosive or HE ammo. From my position where I was lying in the sand, directly in front of the aircraft, I could see the fire and I was wondering if I was going to be shot at by my own aircraft. When the rescue team arrived I sent them to extinguish the fire first.

This gives you a nice overview of the site. In the top left side of the photograph there are a few people, one with a white shirt on, standing next to the ejection seat where I was found. In the fore ground is the rock we believe caused the undercarriage to collapse.
Once again I am amazed how effective the camouflage on the aircraft is.
The damage done to the flaps on the underside of the right wing. Despite the damage there was absolutely no vibration on the controls on the way home.
Here you can see the damage that the missile did to the right hand side of the fuselage.
The drag chute had been lost when the missile exploded. This naturally created a bit of a headache for me on the landing. Stopping a 10 ton aircraft in 7500ft of runway under normal circumstances is not easy.

Power of 10 plea!

I am making a renewed plea for support please! I am asking again for donors for my Power of 10 Campaign. I am looking for 1000 people who will sponsor R100.00 per month for 10 months (or more ) or a once off R1000.00 if you are forgetful like me.

For the 59 supporters who have already signed up...

....... I cannot thank you enough!

I need to purchase an engine and an instrument panel. These are the two largest and most expensive items left and then it is just he smaller but equally important finishing touches left. I am told and believe that if I can get these 1000 (or rather 952) supporters I can have the aircraft flying within 4 months.

Then I can on the challenge of flying around the world and raise the $1,000,000 USD target I've set myself for the trust fund for the disabled I have set up.

I would love to take you on this crazy journey with me!!!! Please spread the word around to as many of your friends as possible.
